classic Solitaire Style Engagement Ring

Diamond engagement rings for $3000

There are quite a few options available within our inventory of Brian Gavin Signature and Brian Gavin Blue diamonds that will appeal to people who are shopping for a diamond engagement ring with a $3000 budget. As discussed in my article that focuses on the average prices of engagement rings one of the easiest and fastest ways to shop for a diamond engagement ring online is to use the pre-selected engagement rings search feature which is available on the front page of the web site.

Diamond solitaire rings for $3000

One of the most popular styles of engagement rings is the traditional diamond solitaire, which features a single diamond set on top of a thin band in a four or six prong configuration. The diamond solitaire pictured to the left is our classic Style Solitaire pictured in 18k white gold, it is also available in yellow gold, rose gold, and platinum. This particular rendition of the traditional solitaire style engagement ring is extremely popular with our customers because the prong configuration is quite elegant.

You could set either this 0.608 carat, I-color, SI-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond with hearts and arrows, or this 0.602 carat, G-color, SI-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Blue diamond with medium blue fluorescence in the ring and still come in under budget. Or you could set this 0.740 carat, J-color, VS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond in a traditional six prong solitaire and pick up a little size for the same amount of money.

The primary difference between the two sixty point diamonds is that one is I-color with negligible fluorescence and the other is G-color with medium blue fluorescence, both of the diamonds are SI-1 in clarity, and have been graded by the American Gem Society Laboratory (AGSL) with an overall cut grade of AGS Ideal-0 on their Proprietary Light Performance grading platform which uses Angular Spectrum Evaluation Technology (ASET) to measure the brightness of the diamonds.

While both of these diamonds are going to face up “eye clean” from a distance of 9 – 12 inches (the industry standard for diamond grading) and appear “white” in color, the G-color diamond with medium blue fluorescence will face up a little big whiter and brighter because it is higher in color. The scale used to describe diamond color begins with D-color which is considered to be “colorless” and extends outward to Z-color which is used to describe diamonds which are light yellow to light brown in color. The industry uses the term “higher in color” to refer to diamonds which are graded closer to where it begins with D-color and uses the term “lower in color” to refer to diamonds which are graded towards the other end of the spectrum.

Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamonds:

Brian Gavin Diamonds offers a variety of diamond shapes in addition to round brilliant ideal cut diamonds, and one of the most popular shapes that we sell is the Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamond which is designed by Brian Gavin to be extremely bright in terms of the volume of light return, brilliance, dispersion, and scintillation. It exhibits so bright and sparkly that it is actually qualifies for the AGS Ideal-0 cut rating from the AGS Laboratory… very few fancy shape diamonds can make that claim!

Generally speaking, fancy shape diamonds cost a little bit less than round brilliant cut diamonds with comparable characteristics for carat weight, cut quality, color and clarity, so your money will go a little further when buying a Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamond… for instance, you could pick up this 0.728 carat, I-color, SI-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamond and set it in a 14k gold solitaire and still come in under budget.

And if you prefer a diamond with slightly warmer tones, you would definitely like this 0.890 carat, K-color, VS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamond which is going to be just as bright and sparkly as the other diamonds discussed thus far because those factors are dictated by the proportions and overall cut quality of the diamond, not the body color which is something that most people only take into consideration when they are buying the diamond… very few people tend to notice the body color of a diamond under normal circumstances because they are more focused on the visual properties of the diamond and get distracted by the sparkle factor.

Naturally if you prefer diamonds which are whiter in color and higher in clarity, we have options like this 0.620 carat, G-color, VVS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature Cushion cut diamond available, or you might go with something like this 0.590 carat, G-color, VS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature Cushion and set it in something like our Valentine micro pave ring.

As you can see, there are plenty of options available in the way of diamond engagement rings for $3000 the trick is to figure out what style of setting you prefer and to adjust the characteristics of the diamond accordingly to fit your needs.
