The process

Four steps to your forever ring

Every custom ring begins with a conversation and ends with a one-of-a-kind creation, personally inspected and signed by Brian Gavin.

01

Share your vision

Send a sketch, a photo, a screenshot, or just a description. Our designers turn it into a detailed proposal with pricing — stone sizes, weights, metal, every specific.

02

Review the 3D rendering

We build a photorealistic CAD model of your ring — the same engineering software Brian pioneered online two decades ago. You see every angle before we touch metal.

03

Refine & approve

Adjust proportions, prong style, band width, finish — as many rounds as it takes. Nothing goes into production until you sign off on the final design.

04

Handcrafted & delivered

Cast, set, and finished by hand in about 15 business days. Brian inspects and signs the piece, we email your Glamour Shots, then it ships FedEx overnight.

The maker

Five generations of diamond cutters, one pair of hands

Brian grew up inside the trade, shaped by his mother Femma Gavin, a world-renowned artist. He was among the first jewelers to bring CAD design to customers online — so you could see your ring before it existed.

Customers say he has an uncanny ability to get inside their heads. Every finished piece is inspected and signed by him personally.

See how they catch the light

A photo shows a single angle. Film shows what a beautifully cut diamond really does — flashing white light and fire with every small turn of the hand. Here are a few of our rings, up close.

Table

The largest facet, flat across the top of the stone. Its size relative to the diameter is one of the first things Brian checks — it governs how much light comes back at you.

Common questions

Everything you need to know

How long does the custom design process take?

Most custom rings are finished about 15 business days after you approve the CAD. From the start of the CAD process to a finished ring, plan on up to four weeks. Small modifications shorten that considerably; very complex work can take longer. We establish fees and timelines at the outset of the project.

What will my custom ring cost?

Once we understand your concept we put together a detailed quotation: stone sizes and weights, metal, and the specifics of the build. Nothing goes into production until you approve that quote and payment is received.

Can I use my own diamond or gemstone?

Yes. We prefer to work with our own stones and materials, but we regularly set customer stones. You'll complete a short form establishing mutually agreeable limits of liability, and insurance can be obtained for the purpose. Always call us before shipping anything — we don't accept unauthorized packages.

What if I want to make changes during the process?

That's exactly what the CAD stage is for. Adjust proportions, prong style, band width, or finish before we cut a single piece of metal. Once you sign off on the rendering, we move to production.

Is custom work refundable?

All custom work is final and non-refundable. If you decide to abandon the project before production begins, you'll receive a full refund less $250 — this covers some of our design and material costs and can't be applied toward another setting, custom or stock.

What does the warranty cover?

Your ring carries our lifetime warranty against defects in craftsmanship, including rhodium plating and prong tightening for the life of the ring. Resizing is complimentary once, up to one full size, within the first year of purchase.

Will I see the ring before it ships?

Yes. Every finished piece is carefully inspected, photographed, and signed by Brian Gavin, and a set of Glamour Shots is emailed to you before the ring leaves the studio via FedEx overnight delivery.
