Brian Gavin Diamonds and Mark Morrell Team Up to Create a Magnificent Custom Ring for a UK Customer…

At the beginning of March, a customer contacted me via my brianthecutter.com website inquiring about a cushion cut or oval shaped diamond and a custom ring. The customer was from the UK but was based in the Sudan at the time, so there was a time lapse between e-mails. After some reading and education, as well as several e-mails with Lesley, she decided to go with a .75 Brian Gavin Signature H & A diamond.

We suggested various settings but it turned out that she had her heart set on getting a Mark Morrell Platinum Petite Torchiere setting. We facilitated the ordering of the setting and worked closely with Mark Morrell to fill the order. I really enjoyed getting reacquainted with Mark, who is one of the original great jewelry designers in the USA. I spoke with our customer twice on Skype before she returned to the UK where she was able to confirm her ring size. She was anxious to receive her finished ring despite the projected six week delivery date, but Mark exceeded her expectations and we were able to ship the ring out to her in about 5 weeks. Following is the e-mail she wrote us and some pictures of her beautiful designer ring.

"Hi Lesley, Well, my ring was delivered today – I'm amazed it was so quick! It is absolutely gorgeous. The stone sparkles so much and the setting is so subtle in real life. I've been showing it off and had so many compliments about it. Thank you so much for all your help. You were always so patient with me, and made the process so easy, which was no easy feat considering you're in the US, I'm in the UK and I was in Sudan when I ordered the ring! Thank you again."
