At the beginning of April we were contacted by a customer from the United Kingdom who we had worked with previously. She was interested in having us custom make her a 5 stone diamond band which she would be using for her renewal vows. We discussed the fact that she wanted the lines of the setting to be very fluid and that she wanted the prongs to be as fine as possible without compromising the integrity of the band. She wanted the setting to be two tone with an 18K yellow gold shank and an 18K white gold gallery. Brian hand selected 5 x .20 H/I SI Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows melee – 1 carat total weight.
The 5 stones in her band represent her five children and we set a tiny pink sapphire inside the shank in memory of her baby daughter who was stillborn. She also ordered a new 18K yellow gold 6mm flat men's band for her husband and had us set a secret pink sapphire inside his band too.
This is what she e-mailed us on receiving the rings:
"Hi Brian and Lesley,
My parcel just arrived and I am blown away by the beauty of my new ring. It's so white and sparkly!! I just took loads of photos! When the sun eventually comes out here I will take more.
Thank you so much for looking after me the way you did. I know I have a bit of a reputation for being a customer who needs lots of attention but I think it was just a case of me finding the right vendor to work with. I have been completely relaxed throughout this whole buying process. I can't wait to work with you two again.
