E-rings that make a BOLD statement
“I’m looking for an e-ring that makes a bold statement, one which will remind my fiancé that she is loved very, very deeply, every time she looks at the ring on her finger, and which will let everybody in the room know that she’s off the market… you can laugh if you want, but there is some truth to the line “If you like it, you should have put a ring on it” from the Beyonce song; my fiancé is a fashion model and guys are always hitting on her, I’m flattered, but it drives me a bit nuts at the same time. So the three month salary rule (!) puts me in the land of $50k for the diamond, and I guess it makes sense to allocate up to 10% more for an e-ring that makes a bold statement, so what do you recommend?”

There definitely is some truth to the lyrics of the song “Singles Ladies, put a ring on it” by Beyonce, you’re absolutely correct, and perhaps more so if you’re girlfriend happens to be a fashion model; a friend of mine was married to a former Playboy model, and he seemed to feel that the five carat pear shape diamond that she wore provided a slight deterrent in terms of warding off some of the advances… but you do realize that the ring is only part of the equation, it is the love which the two of you share, that is the critical strength of your relationship, the ring is merely a symbol of your commitment to each other.
Engagement Rings that are Bold & Bright:
The Kristin Split Shank Halo pictured at the top of this article is definitely an engagement ring which is bold, bright, and which commands attention from across the room! It would look absolutely amazing set with this 2.296 carat, E-color, VS-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature round diamond, and the total weight of the finished ring would be around 3.50 carats, what guy can compete with that? Plus the strong blue fluorescence that this diamond exhibits when it is exposed to black light, will make it stand out like a neon sign that flashes “I’m taken, totally off the market” any time she walks into a night club, or any other venue that uses black light, and where guys are likely to be hitting on her.
Ah, we digress, but it really would be a stunning ring, because all of the accent diamonds are cut to the same standard as larger Brian Gavin Signature round diamonds, so the volume of light return and sparkle factor will be the same, and the F/G color accents are a good match for the color of the center stone.
Engagement rings that take center stage:
Another one of my personal favorite rings for making a statement, is the Belle Halo Micro Pave setting from Brian Gavin, it looks absolutely stunning set with a two carat center stone; now this diamond is a little larger than that, so it will require a few more diamonds to complete the halo, so the price will be adjusted slightly, but the look will be worth every penny! Just look at all the tiny diamonds that are pave set into the ring shank of this setting, this ring is going to sparkle like crazy from every vantage point in the room! It is one of those rings that stands up on the finger and screams “Look at me! Look at me!” and there is no way that anybody could possibly miss seeing it…
