18K Rose Gold Halo Engagement Ring from Brian Gavin

Diamond engagement rings for $15000

When you step up into the realm of diamond engagement rings for $15000 you begin to get presented with tough choices, like having to choose between this 1.041 carat, D-color, VS-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond, or this 1.888 carat, J-color, SI-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond, which are obviously at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of carat weight, color and clarity. Here’s what I can tell you about the two diamonds, they are both graded by the American Gem Society Laboratory (AGSL) with an overall cut grade of AGS Ideal-0 and both exhibit a crisp and complete pattern of hearts and arrows as a result of their superior level of optical symmetry. The 1.041 carat is going to be completely eye clean and is going to face up a little bit brighter in terms of body color, but the 1.888 carat is going to look considerably larger and that is definitely a factor which I find appealing. Now the 1.888 carat diamond is SI-2 in clarity and I am able to barely locate the inclusions within it with just my eyes after I’ve located them using 10x magnification and know what to look for, that is not something which bothers me because I realize that inclusions are just part of the natural structure of a diamond, but it is a factor to consider if you need the diamond to be completely eye clean.

An interesting middle ground is this 1.504 carat, I-color, VS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond which is going to face up white and it’s eye clean. Another diamond which I really find appealing is this 1.668 carat, J-color, VS-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Blue diamond which exhibits medium blue fluorescence when it is exposed to black light. The blue fluorescent diamond is a little bit larger and costs a little bit less because of a discount that is applied to diamonds with blue fluorescence which has been in effect since the 1970’s when a group of Asian investors elected to omit diamonds with fluorescence from parcels of diamonds which they were selling as investments.

Rose Gold Halo Engagement Ring:

If you’re looking for something truly unique, consider setting this 1.724 carat, K-color, SI-1 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond in the 18k Rose Gold Halo Engagement Ring pictured above, the rose gold is the perfect accompaniment for the slightly warmer body color of the K-color diamond and they will look amazing together! Rose Gold has enjoyed a return to popularity over the past few years as the interest in vintage looking jewelry has grown by leaps and bounds. Rose Gold is created by mixing more copper with gold in place of the nickel and zinc which are used to create white and yellow gold, the color of the gold changes as the mixture of other alloys is exchanged, but the gold content of the jewelry remains the same.

Of course if you’re not a fan of Rose Gold or “pink gold” as it is often referred to, you can order the same ring in 18k white gold and set something a little smaller, but lighter in color, like this 1.385 carat, H-color, VS-2 clarity, Brian Gavin Signature diamond in it for about five hundred dollars more. As I’ve explained in previous articles, it is important to weigh the different characteristics of a diamond (cut, carat weight, color, clarity) and determine which options are most important to you when deciding which diamond to choose. In this case, I’ve provided you with two options which are relatively the same in terms of price, but which are quite different in terms of carat weight and color, while the difference in clarity is only one clarity grade and both diamonds are eye clean.
