Jewelry trend forecast for 2014

Jewelry trend forecast for 2014

With just a month remaining in 2013, trend forecasters have already begun looking ahead to what will be all the rage in 2014. Many of the trends you've seen over the past year will continue to power on, while a few more looks will be added to the ranks. With the gift giving season almost here, now is a perfect time to become versed on next year's trends.

Delicate necklaces

Thin chains and pastel-colored gems will be seen around the necks of women everywhere. There are plenty of ways to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe or as a gift, whether you want a necklace with mixed-and-matched fancy colored diamonds or you prefer a single diamond pendant. For example, you could wear the Martini necklace in rose gold and choose a pink diamond. This thin-chained necklace with a colored gem is right on trend. Don't be afraid to stack several longer necklaces all with differently colored stones to diversify your look.

Stacking jewelry

Stacking was a popular look in 2013, and it's not quitting in the new year. The great part about his trend is that all manner of jewelry pieces can be stacked. Choose several bracelets, necklaces or rings to mix together in one ensemble. The key to keeping your look cohesive is to find one theme that connects each piece. For example, you can wear several bracelets of the same color or style. A gold Shared Prong Bangle can be worn with a second gold bangle.

Chandelier earrings

Statement earrings are flattering because their length frames the face. They are also a great way to add drama to a simple ensemble. The heavy look is great for winter of 2014 when most clothing tends to be thick against the cold. Be sure to wear your hair back to show off your amazing diamond chandelier earrings. Avoid wearing these with a statement necklace, as your look will become bogged down. Instead, choose a thin necklace or diamond bracelet.

Baroque influence

The ornate designs of the Baroque period have begun to dominate the jewelry scene. Vintage looks were popular in 2013 and the new year will push the period back a few hundred years. Choose pieces loaded with detail, covered in gold and studded in unique diamond cut shapes. You can find Baroque designs in earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. When shopping for the right Brian Gavin piece for the trend, keep your eyes open for jewelry that will make a statement.
