Cherie's longterm boyfriend was going to surprise her with a ring from the Philadelphia Diamond District, however, her supersleuth skills discovered his plans. She had already done extensive research through Pricescope and, of course, Pinterest, and knew just what she wanted for an engagement ring and who she wanted to purchase it from – Brian Gavin Diamonds.

Cherie reached out to us via our online live chat, "What would be your narrowest solitaire band? I'm looking at the tapered half round. From the base of my finger to my knuckle is only 1 1/4". I plan, within the next couple weeks, getting a stone from you. More than likely it would be about .85ct. I've decided to cut back on my original thoughts for a larger size to have one of your amazing diamonds. Thank you for your help."

Jamie agreed the tapered half round would work best for Cherie as it helps accentuate the center stone, and the taper gives the illusion of being very thin.

"That's awesome! I appreciate all your time and information. I feel a huge relief that I've decided on BGD. It seems pretty foolproof."

Cherie was thrilled when she saw the glamour shots, but as most customers tell us, the pictures don't do the actual ring justice. She sent us the email below after receiving her Tapered Classic Style Half Round 18K White Gold Engagement Ring with a .884 I SI Brian Gavin Diamonds Signature Hearts and Arrows Diamond.

"Received this stunner last Saturday on a beach trip. It's been in hiding for over a month without me seeing it. The glamour shots were great – almost like a magazine pic- but to see it in person was a thrill. It looks big, I think, on my finger, and the setting is perfect. You can't even see the prongs. We couldn't be happier. Thanks again. Can't wait to have a row of sparkle next to it. "

Cherie and her fiance also purchased a Petite Pave Matching Half Eternity Band in 18K White Gold.

"Received my band last Friday, and I love it. It showcases my solitaire beautifully and looks exactly like I hoped it would. I'm not sure what other pieces are in my future, but after having these pieces from Brian Gavin, we won't settle for anything less. I appreciate all your help, and feel you got a sense of what I had in my head.

Just had to share what my 4 1/2 yr. old granddaughter just said. She told me she loves my ring, and it looks like someone put "lots and lots of glitter" in it. Please thank Brian for the glitter. lol"
