Which type of diamond anniversary band should I buy?

Which type of diamond anniversary band should I buy?

Brian Gavin Diamonds offers an extensive collection of diamond anniversary and eternity bands, and I am wondering which type of anniversary band I should buy. I’m not really familiar with all the different types of diamond anniversary bands, e.g. shared prong, bar set, bead set, fishtail pave, etc., and don’t know whether one style of setting is more sturdy or durable than another. My diamond engagement ring is a Brian Gavin Classic Truth Solitaire if it makes any kind of difference. Thank you.”

The different types of diamond anniversary bands?

The primary difference between the different types of diamond anniversary bands and eternity rings offered by Brian Gavin is the type of prongs or structure that is used to hold the diamonds in-place, and this is little more than a matter of personal preference, thus you should simply choose whichever ring style most appeals to your personal sense of style.

Open Gallery Five Stone Diamond Anniversary Ring:

This open gallery five stone diamond anniversary band by Brian Gavin is one of our most popular designs, the “open gallery” part of the description simply refers to how there is an open space beneath the bridge or “gallery” that forms the undercarriage of the ring where the diamonds set upon, and the diamonds are prong set. The diamonds in this ring are fairly large, about a fifth of a carat each, and they span across the width of the finger quite nicely, providing total coverage.

Bead Set Half Eternity Diamond Ring:

This bead set half eternity diamond ring by Brian Gavin contains ten round brilliant Brian Gavin Signature melee cut diamonds, which weigh approximately 0.08 carats each, for a combined total weight of approximately 0.80 carats, in F-G color, VS clarity diamonds. The “half eternity” part of the description indicates that the diamonds will cover approximately half of the finger, meaning that they spread across the top half of the finger. The diamonds are held in place by tiny beads of metal that are slightly rounded, hence the term bead set.

Seven Stone Shared Prong Anniversary Ring:

This seven stone shared prong anniversary ring by Brian Gavin features seven round brilliant cut diamonds, which are held in place by two prongs on each side of the diamond, which are shared with the diamond on either side of it, hence the setting style is “shared prong” and it happens to be a very popular style of eternity ring since there appears to be very little metal showing between the diamonds. The combined total weight of the seven round brilliant cut diamonds is approximately 0.35 carats t.d.w.

Seven Stone Bar Set Anniversary Ring:

This seven stone bar set anniversary ring by Brian Gavin features seven round brilliant cut diamonds which are channel set in-place using a bar of metal which separates each diamond from the others. Channel set diamond anniversary rings, like this bar set diamond anniversary band by Brian Gavin, are excellent options for people who are concerned about catching prongs on clothing, or gloves, such as people who work in the health care profession. The total weight of the seven diamonds is approximately 0.35 carats t.d.w.

Three Quarter Coverage Diamond Eternity Ring:

This shared prong diamond eternity ring by Brian Gavin offers three quarter coverage across the top of the finger, which means that the diamonds are set so that they cover approximately three quarters of the surface area of the ring as it spans across the finger. This style of three quarter coverage diamond eternity band is an excellent option for people who like to see a bit more sparkle on their finger, as it will cover more surface area than a half eternity diamond ring, which would cover only the top half of the finger.
