How to get him used to wearing a wedding ring

It can be a bit of a challenge for a guy to get used to wearing a wedding band, especially if he’s not used to wearing a ring, however there has been a lot of talk lately about “man-gagement rings” which present you with the opportunity to get him used to wearing a ring on his left hand before the nuptials. These rings can take many forms, from traditional bands, to more intricate designs, the man-gagement ring that actor Johnny Depp, was reportedly wearing his engagement party earlier this month, took the form of a simple signet ring.

One of the things that I like about the signet ring concept is that it is a ring which can be easily transferred to the right hand after your wedding, and it is a ring which many men find to be deeply personal as it can be designed with their initials, or family crest.

In the mean time, the ring serves as a symbol of his commitment, gives him something to talk about, and puts a ring on his left hand so that he gets used to wearing one. While signet rings are a popular option, some guys simply start wearing their wedding band early, or a simpler version of their wedding ring which is made from a less expensive metal such as titanium or tungsten.

An excellent option would be this Men’s Princess cut diamond ring in palladium, which is tapered on the inside of the ring so that it fits comfortably. Palladium is a white metal from the platinum family, which is lighter in weight, hypo allergenic, resists scratching, and is more affordable. There are a lot of stylish options in gents wedding bands with diamonds, and which offer unique designs, within our online catalogue of gents diamond rings. Of course if you’re looking for something a bit more unique, which incorporates the special nature of your relationship, you can always arrange to have a ring custom made by our in-house jewelry design and fabrication division.

While I’m not so sure that the man-gagement ring is a concept which should take hold, if anybody could lead the pack on this one, it would be Johnny Depp. I’m curious as to what your thoughts are on the subject of man-gagement rings, leave a comment below and let me know whether you’d ever consider wearing one, whether you think your boyfriend should wear one, or whether you think it is an absurd idea.
