Freya vs classic half round setting in rose gold

Freya vs classic half round setting in rose gold

“My girlfriend and I are having difficulty deciding between the Freya setting or the classic half round solitaire in rose gold. Do you have any insight that might help us make a decision? Obviously we realize that the Freya setting has diamonds set in the side of the ring, whereas the classic half round setting is a traditional solitaire. I guess what we’re really trying to figure out is whether the Freya setting is worth the extra thousand dollars. I’m actually all for it, I think it will make for a really pretty ring, and so does she. But I also think that my girlfriend feels a bit self-conscious about spending the extra money on herself when we’ve got a wedding to pay for…”

Classic Half Round Solitaire by Brian Gavin:

As noted, it features accent diamonds that are pavé set in both sides of the ring shank. The diamonds are not just any old diamonds either, they’re Brian Gavin Signature melee cut diamonds, which are cut to the same exceptional standards as larger Brian Gavin Signature round diamonds. This means that they off the same high volume of light return, and incredible light performance and sparkle factor! This is a photograph of the Classic half round solitaire by Brian Gavin in Rose Gold. As you can see, the two ring styles are actually completely different form each other, totally unique from all angles.

Even the prong structure of the Freya and the Classic half round solitaire are completely different. As with the majority of our rings, we strive to make each ring unique in design. Which ring to choose really does come down to a matter of personal preference. Which design do you and your girlfriend find most appealing?

Which e-ring should you pick?

I’m going to be perfectly frank, and say that I think that both you and your girlfriend are leaning towards the Freya setting with the pavé set diamonds. I completely understand that you have a wedding to pay for, there will always be expenses and these types of choices that we have to make in life. It’s pretty common for people not to want to spend money on themselves, when there are other major expenses coming up in the near future.

But then again, this is a ring that your wife is going to wear for the rest of her life. And what’s a thousand dollars compared to a lifetime of enjoyment? Spread out over the course of the next year, the difference in cost between the Freya and Classic half round solitaire amounts to $2.86 per day. That’s less than a cup of designer coffee, spread out over five years, it’s only 0.57 cents per day… Spread out over a lifetime? Well, you get the idea, it’s going to amount to pocket change. And while only you and your girlfriend can decide what is the best thing to do for your personal situation, I’d be inclined to pick the Freya setting if that is what you both really want.
